Can I send a mailing via my hosting package at WebOké?

SENDING MAILINGS

You are allowed to send a mailing via our servers. To prevent abuse and the sending of spam, we do attach a number of conditions to this:

  1. Serving websites takes priority; sending mailings is only allowed if it does not cause any disruption.
  2. Sending unsolicited email is not allowed;
  3. The email sent must include a way to unsubscribe with a simple action (a so-called opt-out link). So not via a 'reply', but a real working link to a website;
  4. You can send a maximum of 1000 emails per day in total. If you want to send more, please contact us: we have separate packages on separate mail servers for this.
  5. A mailing must not be sent during the day. It is not only the email itself that puts a load on the system, but also the program that sends it. In that sense it would be better to run the program elsewhere (locally, for example) and send the emails via SMTP. That way you put the least load on the system.
  6. All email addresses must have been demonstrably obtained via a so-called confirmed opt-in. See the explanation: https://www.weboke.nl/kennisbanknl/articles/24412-wat-is-een-confirmed-opt-in-mogelijkheid-bij-een-mailing
  7. The message of the email must be legal and permitted under Dutch law. As such, the content must not contain anything illegal, nor any texts or images that could be considered offensive or discriminatory.

Please note: if the mailing sent does not meet the requirements above, we reserve the right to (temporarily) deactivate the web hosting package concerned. This also applies if we receive a so-called abuse report from independent blacklists such as Spamcop. We will, however, always assess this on a case-by-case basis.

If you send more emails than allowed, they may be returned to you with this error message: Unrouteable address / Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender
