Am I blocked? Your IP address and our firewall
Cannot reach your website, e-mail or FTP while it works for others? The firewall of one of our servers may be blocking your IP address. That happens automatically after too many failed login attempts, for example from a mail program or phone with an old password.
Check and release yourself
Go to Am I blocked? in your customer portal. It shows whether the address you are visiting from is blocked, on which server, why and until when. You can also enter another address, for example your office.
With Release IP you remove the block yourself on the servers where you have a package. Note: releasing does not fix the cause. If a device keeps trying with a wrong password, the server blocks the address again. Fix the password in all your devices first, then release.
How often may I release?
You can release an address a limited number of times yourself (the counter is on the page). After that, or if the address is blocked on a server where you have no package, you create a ticket with one click. The IP information is included automatically.
Common causes
- A mail program or phone with an old or wrong password.
- An FTP program that keeps logging in automatically with wrong details.
- A script or plugin that logs in too often.
- Several people on the same address (office) of whom one uses a wrong password.
