Escalated transfer with SIDN
Transferring a domain name without a transfer code? This is how an escalated transfer works for .NL domains
Sometimes your current provider refuses to issue a transfer code (also called an authorisation code or token) for your .NL domain name. Fortunately, SIDN, the registry for all .NL domain names, has an official procedure for this: the escalated transfer.
How does it work?
We submit a request to SIDN on your behalf. SIDN then contacts your current registrar and asks them to release the transfer code after all. If the registrar does not respond within five working days, SIDN steps in and provides the code directly to the rightful holder of the domain, provided you can prove that this is you.
What does it cost?
Because we carry out this process manually for you, we charge a one-off fee of €75.00 excl. VAT. This amount is invoiced in advance.
What do we need from you?
Send us the following via support@weboke.nl or a ticket via our website: a copy of a valid proof of identity (ID card or passport) of the domain holder, a Chamber of Commerce (KvK) extract if the domain is registered in the name of a company, and a copy of the marriage certificate if the holder now uses a different surname. Also state which domain it concerns and why your current provider will not issue the transfer code.
Once we receive this, we start the procedure and keep you informed of its progress.
