Custom document root / changing the document root for a domain
Do you want the document root of your domain to point somewhere other than the public_html folder, which is the default?
You cannot change this yourself, but we can do it for you: we turn public_html into a shortcut (symlink) pointing to the folder you want within the same account. Please contact the support team for this.
This way we can, for example, make exampledomain1.nl point to the public_html folder of exampledomain2.nl. The folder that will be used as the new document root must be in the same package.
For subdomains you can do this yourself.
In DirectAdmin, go to 'Subdomain Management'. There you can create your new subdomain and specify its document root straight away:
