Create and manage Nextcloud users
With a WebOké Nextcloud package you create users yourself in the customer portal. You do not need to be in Nextcloud itself. How many users you can create depends on your package and its configurable options.
Step 1 Sign in at mijn.weboke.nl, go to My Products and click Manage next to your Nextcloud package.
Step 2 At the top of the package page you see three counters: Nextcloud users, Office Suite licences and Storage, each shown as used of limit. Scroll down to User management. It lists all users with account name, display name, email address, Office Suite, status and last login.
Step 3 Click Add user and fill in the fields.
Username The user signs in with this. Lowercase letters, digits, dot or dash, 2 to 64 characters. It cannot be changed later.
Display name The name others see when sharing files and in Nextcloud Talk. Can be changed later.
Email address The user receives Nextcloud notifications here, such as password resets and shared folders. Can be changed later.
Password At least 10 characters with at least one digit and one special character. Generate creates a strong password for you. Share it safely with the user; no email with the password is sent.
Assign Office Suite licence Tick this if the user must be able to edit documents with the Office Suite. You need a free licence for that.
Step 4 Click Create user. The user appears in the list right away and can sign in to your Nextcloud with the username and password. The Open Nextcloud button on the package page takes you to your Nextcloud.
Managing users The action menu next to a user lets you change the password, edit the details (display name and email address), disable or re-enable the user, and delete the user. The switch in the Office Suite column turns a licence on or off. Changes in User management are saved immediately. Note: deleting a user permanently erases all files, calendars and contacts of that user.
Need more users or licences? When you reach your limit, raise the number on the same page under Configurable options. An increase is charged pro rata for the rest of your term and takes effect after payment; a decrease takes effect immediately. Want a different package? Click Change hosting package.
