Icann stuurt mij een whois data reminder

Registrars zijn volgens de ICANN regels verplicht met regelmaat (1x per jaar) een email te sturen met daarin de actuele gegevens hoe een domein is geregistreerd. Niet alle registrars doen dat overigens even strikt.

Deze email klopt, en is dus valide. Reageer echter nooit op dergelijke emails. Dat is niet nodig. Als de gegevens in de email niet helemaal kloppen dan kunt u dat via onze administratie aanpassen.

De mail kan er zo uit zien:

This message is a reminder to help you keep the contact data associated with your domain registration up-to-date.
According to ICANN's Whois Data Reminder Policy, a registrar must present - at least annually - to the registrant the current Whois information, and remind the registrant that provision of false Whois information can be grounds for cancellation of their domain name registration. Registrants must review their Whois data and make any corrections, if necessary.
